Genecoe becomes framework supplier to the Improvement Service
June 10th, 2009 - Improvement Service contract
Genecoe has been awarded a Consultancy Services Framework Agreement
with the Improvement Service. The Improvement Service was set up in
2005 help improve the efficiency, quality and accountability of local
public services in Scotland by providing advice, consultancy and
programme support to councils and their partners. It is a partnership
between the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and the
Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE). The contract runs
until June 2012.

After 2 years of our old gloomy black website (pictured on left), we
are pleased to
introduce our new fresher look. 'We are moving from an era
when our clients came to us through word of mouth,' according to
Christopher Reynolds, Director, 'to one where we are increasingly
interacting with new faces'
We need to be sure that companies understand our offerings and our
expertise, so we commissioned an overhaul. The focus is on
information and clarity rather than on heavy graphics and technological
features, but we think it is a much better reflection of what we
actually do for our customers'

April 23rd, 2009 - The birth of ICN
An increase in work and the need to provide a more formal QA system
within a public sector framework contract has led a handful of
independent consulting companies to form ICN - the Independent
Consulting Network. ICN's mission is to promote best-practice
Quality programmes and to form a pool of trusted associate consultants
who are available to provide resource to each other on larger
projects. 'In a time when the Scottish Government is
encouraging
consortium bids for public sector contracts, this is an appropriate
response,' according to Hugh Kilpatrick.
'Genecoe needs to be able to deploy trusted contractors quickly, and
with the creation of ICN we will be able to do so'
